Sewickley sits on the Ohio River northwest of downtown Pittsburgh, along Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard). The office is in the borough’s Beaver Street business district. If you would rather not travel, you can start by phone, by text or through our contact form.
Our roots here go beyond the address. Noah Fardo graduated from Avonworth High School, and in 2019 he established the Quaker Valley Wrestling Scholarship, awarded each year to graduating Quaker Valley seniors.
Sewickley and the Quaker Valley communities are in Allegheny County. An injury or malpractice lawsuit arising here is usually filed in:
Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County
Fifth Judicial District of Pennsylvania
Civil Division, City-County Building
414 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219
Pennsylvania’s venue rules decide which county a lawsuit belongs in. In general, a case can be filed in the county where the injury happened (the place where the “cause of action arose”). It may also be filed where an individual defendant can be served, or where a business defendant has its main office or regularly does business. Medical malpractice cases follow the same general venue rules as other cases; the special malpractice venue rule was rescinded effective January 1, 2023. Choosing the right court is one of the first decisions we make with you.
Much of the Ohio Valley’s traffic runs on Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard), which follows the river between Pittsburgh and Beaver County, and on the local roads that climb from the river into the hillside communities. Car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian cases all turn on the same early steps: get medical care, report the crash, photograph the scene and vehicles, and keep every bill and insurance letter. Our car accident guide explains Pennsylvania’s limited tort and full tort choice and how your own policy pays first.
The hospital in Sewickley is AHN Sewickley Hospital – Heritage Valley, at 701 Broad Street. Many Ohio Valley residents are also treated at the major hospitals in Pittsburgh.
Naming a hospital here is for orientation only. It does not suggest that any hospital or provider did anything wrong. Most care is good care; a malpractice case exists only when care falls below accepted standards and causes harm.
If you are worried about a missed diagnosis, a surgical problem, a birth injury or an emergency room delay, start with our medical malpractice guide.
If I have a medical malpractice lawsuit, should I go back to the same doctor?
We work closely as one team. Every case that heads toward trial has the whole team behind it.

In Pennsylvania, most personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death claims must be filed within two years (42 Pa.C.S. § 5524). If a government agency or public employee may be responsible, written notice is generally required within six months (42 Pa.C.S. § 5522). Exceptions can shorten or extend these deadlines, so call us early rather than late.
Yes. Pennsylvania requires a Certificate of Merit in malpractice cases: a statement, filed with the complaint or within 60 days after it, that an appropriate licensed professional has given a written opinion that the care fell below accepted standards (Pa.R.C.P. 1042.3). That is why we review the medical records and consult qualified experts before a case is filed.
